Job Description:

Licensing Specialist

  • Must be a Tier 1 and Tier 2 Licensed Assessor

  • Complete the duties of an initial licensor

    • Assist in the screening of foster parents and in the orientation and training of prospective foster parents as necessary​

  • Complete the duties of internal investigations of foster parents and distribute rule violations and corrective action plans as necessary

  • Complete the duties of of preparing for yearly audits by state governing board and accreditation bodies

  • Complete the duties of rectifying foster parents licensure

  • Licensing specialists often help plan and execute the marketing and recruitment strategy of the agency

  • Provide pre-service and ongoing training. See PRN contract job description for more information

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field

  • Valid Ohio LSW or LPC required

  • Certified Adoption Assessor in Ohio

  • Knowledge and proven work experience in the Foster Care field

  • Strong clinical skills including expertise in systemic family therapy, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions, and substance abuse therapy

  • Able to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of clients and parents

  • Prior experience is treatment foster care setting

  • Able to work constructively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office

  • Experience in SACWIS preferred

  • Clear background check

  • Reliable transportation

  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance coverage the meets agency requirements
