In this job, you’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with children from hard places, making a positive difference in their lives and yours. You will be trained in trauma-informed care to establish trust with children who can have a difficult time trusting, which leads to healing.
Job Description:

Applies social service knowledge to develop individualized service plans for foster youth

Provides case management and supportive services (including interventions for children in foster care and the foster families)

Provides Behavioral Health Services to children on case load (CPST/TBS Billable Services)
-
Networking and partnering with various public agencies (county children's services, courts, schools), as well as doctors and mental health providers
-
Transportation of children in care
-
Participation in individual and group discussions/trainings on best-practice care for foster youth and families

Writing monthly reports and incident reports

Job Requirements:

Committed to continual therapeutic growth and understanding of children with traumatic backgrounds as well as skills in supporting foster families in providing the best care

Associates/Bachelors/Masters in Social Work/Counseling or related degree (psychology, counseling, human services, public health, mental health, criminal justice, education, sociology, etc.)

Must be able to work independently. Will have weekly connection with supervisor.

Prior experience in billing Medicaid is preferred but not required

Valid Ohio LSW/LISW, LPC/LPCC required

Foster Home Licensing Assessor - Part Time, Full Time
Isaiah’s Place is a team of dedicated advocates who seek to connect, nurture, and restore children and families we serve through foster care, adoption support, and trauma-focused behavioral & mental health services. We are searching for an experienced foster home licensing assessor to join our team. In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with families that are interested in becoming foster parents while guiding them through the licensing process. The licensing assessor should be someone that is self-motivated and passionate about ensuring the safety and healing of the children in our care by providing them with a safe family to live with.
Job Responsibilities:

Ensure completion of initial licensing and re-certifications for the foster homes in the program within required timeframes.

This includes but is not limited to: home studies, interviews, safety audits, compiling and/or completing documentation, coordinating background checks, and submitting all paperwork to the state in the SACWIS system.

Assist with all licensing, certification, accreditation audits as requested.

Know and stay up to date on all applicable state and agency rules/policies regarding foster care.

Complete the duties of internal investigations of foster parents and distribute rule violations and corrective action plans as necessary.

Maintain professional objectivity and self-discipline in conducting job responsibilities to ensure that the needs of the person and family served are at the forefront of care.
Job Requirements:

Minimum qualification is a BA or BS in social work or a human services related field.
-
1 year of experience working with families and children is required.
-
Begun or completed Tier 1 assessor training. Will complete Tier 2 within required timeframe.

Local travel required

Experience with writing home studies is preferred

Experience in SACWIS preferred
-
Previous foster care, mental health or community support experience is preferred.

Must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, proof of current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
Job Description:
Licensing Specialist

Must be a Tier 1 and Tier 2 Licensed Assessor

Must follow the guidelines outlined by the Ohio Revised Code

Complete the duties of an initial licensor

Assist in the screening of foster parents and in the orientation and training of prospective foster parents as necessary

Complete the duties of internal investigations of foster parents and distribute rule violations and corrective action plans as necessary

Complete the duties of of preparing for yearly audits by state governing board and accreditation bodies

Complete the duties of rectifying foster parents licensure

Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field
-
Valid Ohio LSW or LPC required
-
Certified Adoption Assessor in Ohio

Knowledge and proven work experience in the Foster Care field

Strong clinical skills including expertise in systemic family therapy, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions, and substance abuse therapy

Able to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of clients and parents
-
Prior experience is treatment foster care setting
-
Able to work constructively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
-
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office

Experience in SACWIS preferred
