Trauma Free World

Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)

Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is one of our absolute favorite healing modalities.  The heartbeat of TBRI is connection. Two of our trainers, Elisha and Denise, have each utilized TBRI for 10 years with their 7 and 9 children, respectively.  TBRI is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children.

Dr. Nadine-Burke Harris

Nadine-Burke Harris is a pediatric medical doctor who realized medical issues are so often connected to contextual toxic stress.  She created the Center for Youth Wellness where she brings together leading interventionists to help the community heal. Her famous TED Talk is worth a listen and book, "The Deepest Well" is worth a read, they are transformative.

Dr. Bruce Perry

Dr. Bruce Perry is a neuroscientist who researches childhood trauma, both it's effects and healing interventions.  His team created the Child Trauma Academy and the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT).  His book, The Boy Who Was Raised as a Dog, is very well-written and accessible to the everyday reader.  We regularly consult and are trained by a highly trained NMT practitioner.
